The Northborough Police Department offers a Safe Exchange Zone in Town for residents located at in the front of the police station.
A Safe Exchange Zone is a public location where residents, who make online purchases, can safely make an exchange with others. In an effort to eliminate theft, violence, and other dangerous activities this initiative was put in place to make residents feel comfortable when exchanging purchases with strangers.
As a reminder if residents chose not to use the provided Safe Exchange Zone, when exchanging online purchases, etc. residents should be cautious of meeting with strangers, meet in a public place, and only make an exchange in well lit areas or before sunset.
