Hunting is allowed on private land and most state owned land throughout Northborough by licensed hunters with owner permission. Hunting of deer is allowed on all Northborough Conservation Land. In the June 9, 2025 update to town policy, hunting has been limited to only allow the hunting of deer. This change in policy is intended to reflect statewide regulations and help manage the deer population. It should be remembered at all times that hunters still need to follow all statewide restrictions.
Many of our trails pass through state and private land where hunting is legal with the owner’s permission. Hunting is illegal within 500 feet of a dwelling and within 150′ of a road. Hunters may utilize the trail system. They may be carrying a firearm and possibly a dead animal. This is legal and allowed.
