National School Resource Officer Day is celebrated annually on Feb. 15 to show appreciation and support for the officers who maintain the safety of our schools. SROs are a vital part of our school community, interacting and protecting our students through education and engagement.

The department would like to thank our SRO, Detective Steve Sullivan, who goes above and beyond for students and staff across the district.

The National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) has recognized Feb. 15 as National SRO Day since 2022 to highlight the work these officers do to bridge the gap between law enforcement and youth and maintain school safety.
