The MIRCS UNIFIED GUN PORTAL is Massachusetts’ new online system for all firearms-related services, including applying for new/renewing existing licenses.

SERVICES AVAILABLE THROUGH THE PORTAL INCLUDE:

  • – License Applications/Renewals: Resident and non-resident License to Carry (LTC) or Firearms Identification Card (FID). NOTE – After submitting the online application, residents must still come to the NPD to submit payment and get fingerprinted (new applicants only) before your application will be processed
  • – Transaction Reporting (EFA-10): Reporting of private firearm sales, transfers, inheritances, or registrations of firearms
  • – Reporting Lost/Stolen Firearms
  • – Status Tracking: Check the status of your application
  • – Change of Address/Name

Any improper use reported to our department may result in the permanent revocation of your License to Carry Firearms on the grounds of suitability. If you are denied or disqualified for any reason you will be notified in writing of both the reason for denial and the appeal process.
